Abstract:

A branch unit for air conditioners which makes it possible to provide a connection between the outdoor unit of a multiple type or pair type air conditioner and one or more members optionally selected from the group consisting of the indoor units of the multiple and pair type air conditioners. And the branch unit (300) has branch passageways formed between an outdoor side liquid pipe connecting port (301) and a plurality of indoor side liquid pipe connecting ports (302) for branching a refrigerant pipe, each branch passageway having installed therein an electric motor operated valve (305) for reducing the refrigerant pressure passing therethrough and a liquid pipe thermistor (306) for detecting the refrigerant temperature passing therethrough.
