Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a breaker which can be used in a high-capacity secondary battery pack, which has high heat detection sensitivity, and which can be disposed without taking up space. [Solution] A breaker 1 comprises: a fixed piece 2 which has a fixed contact 21; a movable piece 3 which has a movable contact 31 and which presses the movable contact 31 to bring the movable contact 31 into contact with the fixed contact 21; a heat reactive element 4 which deforms in accordance with a temperature change and thereby actuates the movable piece 3 so that the movable contact 31 separates from the fixed contact 21; a case 6 in which the heat reactive element 4 is held; and a plate-like tab 8 which is electrically connected to the fixed piece 2 or the movable piece 3. The tab 6 has a protrusion part 81 which protrudes more outward than the case in a plan view and which is welded to the surface of the fixed piece 2 that is on the opposite side from the surface on which the fixed contact 21 is provided.
