Abstract:
The present invention relates to a breast augmentation prosthesis insertion device comprising: a cylinder body comprising an opening portion having the shape of a cylindrical tube and prosthesis insertion portions successively formed on one side of the opening portion with diameters smaller than the sectional area of the opening portion to be inserted into an incision, which is the operation area; and a piston comprising a head portion inserted into the cylinder body to make a sliding movement and push and pressurize a prosthesis, a support rod extending from the head portion by a predetermined length, and a handle portion provided on the other end of the support rod so as to correspond to the head portion, wherein the cylinder body and the piston are molded using a non-toxic synthetic resin material, the opening portion for inserting a prosthesis is formed to expand in the shape of a Fallopian tube from the diameter of the opening portion such that a prosthesis can be contained while lying down in a circular shape without being folded, and a slip prevention protrusion is formed to protrude from the outer circumference of the cylinder body. The cylinder body and the piston, which are made of a non-toxic synthetic resin material, are disposable and thus are disposed of after the surgery, thereby preventing prosthesis contamination resulting from reuse and preventing post-surgery side effects. In addition, the opening portion, which is formed on the cylinder body in the shape of a Fallopian tube, advantageously prevents contamination and fracture of a prosthesis during initial insertion, which could occur if touched by hands or if folded and inserted. Furthermore, the slip prevention protrusion formed on the cylinder body enables the practitioner to stably grab the insertion device and insert the prosthesis, thereby substantially reducing the prosthesis insertion time and quickening the overall operation.
