Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a broadband antenna for use in a portable device and capable of exhibiting favorable properties while simultaneously operating in a plurality of bands. This broadband antenna has: a first antenna element (4) provided in one section of the outer circumference of the antenna; a second antenna element (5) having one end thereof facing one end of the first antenna element with a slit section (14) sandwiched therebetween; and a feedline (13) for supplying power to the slit section. Therein, the feedline is provided so as to be parallel to the first antenna element at a fixed distance therefrom.
