Abstract:
The embodiments of the present application provide a broadband connection method and device. The method comprises: a virtual broadcast network gateway control plane (vBNG-CP) receiving first indicartion information from a user plane selection decision point USF, wherein the first indication information is used for indicating a second vBNG-UP which replaces a first vBNG-UP when a first virtual broadband network gateway user plane (vBNG-UP) fails; and the vBNG-CP sending a user entry to the second vBNG-UP according to the first indication information, wherein the user entry is used for the second vBNG-UP to connect a user to the network according to the user entry when the first vBNG-UP fails. The embodiments of the present application can be used to keep, when a user plane fails, the broadband accessed by the user online and continue to access the network.
