Abstract:
The present invention relates to a broadband tunable bandwidth channel filter and a filtering method therefor, and makes it possible to embody a broadband tunable bandwidth channel filter by means of inexpensive FPGA even though the conventional technologies can barely embody it by means of ASIC, FPGA, or SoC whose resources are limited. In addition, it is the conventional technologies for designing a digital filter are not substantially possible to design and embody a decimator for tuning the bandwidth by units of 1Hz with the stop band satisfying -90dB, but the present invention discloses effective methods: 1) a method for reducing the coefficient of a filter to be stored by dynamically generating the coefficient of the filter when embodying an interpolator; 2) a method for further reducing the coefficient of the filter through a combination of the interpolators; and 3) a method for designing and embodying a decimator for tuning the bandwidth by units of 1Hz by using a combination of the interpolators, thus decreasing the hardware complexity, improving the processing speed, and decreasing the power consumption.
