Abstract:
Provided is a broadcast system whereby a queueing delay is corrected and synchronization precision is improved without causing increased synchronization packet jitter. A broadcast data server (101) also functions as a master device which transmits synchronization packets to a plurality of clients (102, 103) to synchronize with the clients (102, 103) as slave devices. The broadcast data server (101) comprises a transmission unit (13) which transmits a plurality of video packets and synchronization packets to the plurality of clients (102, 103) at respectively different transmission intervals. The clients (102, 103) comprise bandwidth estimation units (22) which carry out bandwidth estimations of an IP network on the basis of receiving intervals of the video packets, and time information correction units (23) which correct time information of the synchronization packets on the basis of the result of the bandwidth estimation.
