Abstract:

A brush roll and a brush device used for grinding, polishing, cleaning and other processing; wherein the brush device constitutes an assembly of ring-like discs having polishing bristles or washing filaments planted around the outer periphery thereof, juxtaposed with one another in a direction of the thickness and bonded integrally; the brush roll comprises a plurality of such brush devices juxtaposed in a longitudinal direction of a shaft, fitted to the shaft and combined with the shaft by key grooves so formed as to bridge between the peripheral surface of the shaft and the inner peripheral surface of each brush device and by sunk keys each fitted into each key groove; and a sunk key has a length not greater than the length of the brush device, tightly fits to the key groove when it is expanded in a transverse direction and releases fitting when it undergoes shrinkage, and is prevented from falling off a key groove in the longitudinal direction by locking means.
