Abstract:

Provided is a brush seal with which there is little leakage of a sealed fluid. This brush seal is provided with a brush (4) having a plurality of bundled bristles, and an annular back plate (2) disposed on a low-pressure side of the brush and provided with grooves (10) for letting in the sealed fluid, wherein a plurality of the grooves (10) are provided so as to be inclined relative to the circumferential direction of the back plate (2) and an extension direction (B) of the brush (4).
