Abstract:

A brushless motor 11 wherein a stator 12 has an insulator 24 provided with three coil terminals 26 to which windings 25 are connected. The insulator 24 has coil mounting parts 51 on which the windings 25 are wound, and terminal attachment parts 52 to which the coil terminals 26 are attached, resulting in an integrated insulator/terminal holder configuration. In order to enable the brushless motor 11 to be accommodated within the width across flats Wd, one coil terminal (26U) of the coil terminals 26 is arranged on a side surface 14d on one side with respect to the upper and lower surfaces 14a and 14b of the motor case, and the other two coil terminals (26V and 26W) are arranged on the side surfaces 14e and 14f on the other side thereof.
