Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a bubble generating device (30) capable of causing a plurality of bubbles to impinge substantially simultaneously upon a filter membrane. The bubble generating device (30) comprises a housing (40) including a plurality of side plates, and a top plate (32) which is fixed to the plurality of side plates to as to cover, from above, a space enclosed by the plurality of side plates, a plurality of bubble discharge openings (32a) disposed in the top plate (32), aligned in a longitudinal direction of the top plate (32), and a bubble discharge chamber (35) which is disposed in the housing (40) and which communicates with the plurality of bubble discharge openings (32a), wherein: a folded-back path (36) is formed, at least, from a folded-back plate (45) having a cross-sectional shape that extends downward and then folds back upward, and an inner plate (46) disposed inside the folded-back plate (45); one end in the longitudinal direction of each of the folded-back plate (45) and the inner plate (46) is fixed to one of two side plates, among the plurality of side plates, that face one another in the longitudinal direction; the other end in the longitudinal direction of each of the folded-back plate (45) and the inner plate (46) is fixed to the other of said two side plates; one side in a lateral direction of the folded-back path (36) communicates with the bubble discharge chamber (35); and the other side in the lateral direction of the folded-back path (36) communicates with a gas storage chamber 35.
