A buffer device for a logistics handling platform. The buffer device comprises a buffer seat (1) and a handling platform body (2) that is provided on one side of the buffer seat (1), wherein one side of the buffer seat (1) is fixedly connected to one side of the handling platform body (2); and one side of the buffer seat (1) is provided with a rectangular mounting recess (3), a buffer plate (4) being slidably mounted in the rectangular mounting recess (3), one side of the buffer plate (4) being fixedly connected to a connecting plate (5), and both sides of the connecting plate (5) being fixedly connected to an alarm lamp (11) and an alarm bell (12). When a container is approaching the handling platform body, the container is firstly brought into contact with the buffer plate, such that the container does not directly collide with the handling platform body to cause damage to a truck and the handling platform body. In addition, by providing the alarm lamp and the alarm bell, a driver can be reminded to brake the truck in time. Further disclosed is a method for using a buffer device for a logistics handling platform.
