Abstract:
A method and a system use buffered bookkeeping to update an account timely for a user to see the account information without having to wait until the next accounting date. The method records request events to generate a buffer record of the request events for an account having high- volume concurrent transactions, and fetches and processes the buffer record periodically at predetermined time intervals or recursively for bookkeeping of the request events in the account without waiting for the next accounting date. The transaction funds in the account are made available for inquiries and become accessible after only a short period of time upon the occurrence of the transaction. The length of the delay is configurable according to the level of concurrent transactions of the account.
