Title:
BUILT-IN DOOR CHECK
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1999/063191
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of my invention is to make more convenient the automatic opening and closing of doors. It is an automatic cylinder-shaped gadget (9) whose purpose is to close door; it functions hydraulically thanks to its springs (8). It is to be fitted into the door and remains invisible. To activate the door-check it is sufficient to remove the safety-catch positioned on the external side of the plate. It is equipped with a click regulation used for closing the door. It has no external regulator for hydraulic oil, because the adjustment takes place automatically inside the piston, which functions on the basic of a definitive metering. It is very resistant.

Description:
BUILT-IN DOOR CHECK TECHHICAI. FIELD My invention consist of visual disappearance of the gadget which, once it is inserted inside the door, leaves the external aspect unchanged : Thanks. to ita cylindrical form and the fact that is easy to fit in, it cai be fitted in. aluminium, ivon and wooden doors.

The idraulic piston can work following two sistems:

1)Doublepistonsystem(FIG.4);

2)Singlepistonsystemwithinternalsphericalvalve(FIG.5J BACKGROUND ART Thepre-exstig techinique of ole door-checks consisted of an external arm which pushed the door in order to shut it, The arm ivas scissor-shaped.

As a result, ito bid-fashioned famEtcbonswaBedompleted different from that , of my invention, besides, it had a very inelegant appearance.

DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION

The purpose of the built-in door check is to close a door automatically when it has bem left open by means of the forward and bachward sliding of Hie piston ; in the internal starter shaft; by so doing, it opens and b

blochs the oil passage in order to lubrificate theisistem. On fastening, the click, which denotes the definitive fastening of the door, is obtained by ividening a part of the cylinder which, given that i it is. wider than the diameter, lets the piston slide without any resi- stance..'.;.''''''.''"..''.'.'.'.'./":'/;'''..;.'.,
;

The starter shaft consist of. 180° arc-shaped. arm, a return spring and a :

FIG. 1 All three conponents are inserted in a ci- linder. ( The closing click can be fixed or adjustable, the latter being possible in two ways:

1) by treading the starter shaft, which screaving on to one of the ends of the arc-shanped arm leads to the lenthening or shortening of the starter shaft In this way it carries the piston along wrkth it; the piston is thrueeshifted to the deired position and bringo about the more or &ess strog click. !, 2) by tightening the screw positioned on the plate. _.

BRIERIDESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

FIG. l)-Illustrates alirthe-Illustrates alirthe details or componente of the door-check.

FIG.2)-Illustratesacross-sectionofthecylindershovingthema- ximum diameter of the click and poitiwhere the pistonslideins '..''.-insidetheshortestdiameter.':'''-.'".-'.'.''"'''...''. .'.':.".'"'''-''' FIG. 3)-Illustrates theconnecting starter-Illustrates theconnecting starter shaft of the componentes in eludingthearm,theclickregulationbolt.
