Abstract:
This bulk-material cooling device (4) is provided with the following: a plurality of strips of movable floor (20, 30) that extend in a conveyance direction, are lined up in a direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction, support a bulk-material layer (94), and can move back and forth in the conveyance direction; and a controller (50) that controls the plurality of strips of movable floor (20, 30). The controller (50) controls the plurality of strips of movable floor (20, 30) such that a sequence of actions is repeated, with one cycle comprising the following: a transport step in which the plurality of strips of movable floor (20, 30) are simultaneously moved downstream in the conveyance direction; and a return step, after the transport step, in which the plurality of strips of movable floor (20, 30) are moved upstream in the conveyance direction in a plurality of sub-steps. The controller (50) is designed so as to be able to execute an unequal-speed conveyance mode in which, in the transport step, the distance that at least one of the strips of movable floor (20A, 20B, 30A, 30B) is moved is different from the distances that the other strips of movable floor (20C to 20F, 30C to 30F) are moved.
