Abstract:

A bumper and a shock absorbing structure of a vehicle. The bumper comprises a bumper frame (11) having a bumper reinforcement hose (16) extending in the lateral direction of the vehicle and a pair of hollow crush boxes (17) fixed to both ends of the bumper reinforcement hose and extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The bumper reinforcement hose is formed in a plate shape and comprises a main wall part (16a) extending in the vertical direction and a pair of opposed wall parts (16b, 16c) bent relative to the main wall part so as to extend from the upper and lower ends of the main wall part to the rear of the vehicle. The tip of each of the crush boxes is covered by the main wall part and fixed to the bumper reinforcement hose in the state of being held between the pair of opposed wall parts.
