| C L A I M S 1 .- A device for covering the buttons of a garment characterized in that it comprises a two-sided strip, one side thereof provided with buttonholes and the other with buttons, wherein the buttonholes of the strip match with the buttons of the piece of clothing, and the buttons of the strip with the buttonholes of the garment. 2.- Device according to claim 1 , wherein the strip is made of a resistant and light material. |
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The present invention may be included in the technical field of fashion and innovation in clothing.
More specifically, the object of the invention refers to a button cover that can be used with all the pieces of clothes using buttons, whether these are shirts, coats, jackets or dresses. It is unisex and the object thereof is to be able to combine colours, shapes or prints with other pieces of clothes.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION There are some patents related to buttons in clothing, both as a practical item intended to fasten a piece of clothing or as a decoration for the clothing itself. These are also combined with different pieces of clothing such as a tie in men and a shawl in women.
Patent US5426828A describes how to change the shape and design of a button with an invention that transforms the original button of the garment.
Patent US5161285A describes how to change the design of a button into a mechanical button. Patent US6070434A shows a device providing the buttons of the pieces of clothes with light.
In patent US4825472A the buttons of a shirt are used to achieve an additional feature, in this case to enlarge the neck thereof. An adapter is buttoned, said adapter being intended for enlarging the shirt neck by using the original buttons of the garment.
Therefore, it would be necessary to find alternatives directed to modify or change garments in an easy and quick manner. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention refers to a device for covering buttons characterized in that it comprises a two-sided strip, having buttonholes on one side and buttons at the other. Preferably, the strip is of a resistant and light material, as for example reinforced fabric and other type of textiles.
Each strip may have a different type of button, regarding its colour, design or print. This allows the pieces of cloth to be combined according to the colour, design or print thereof. Without having to remove the original buttons of the garment, the device of the invention consists of a strip having buttonholes on one side, so as to button the shirt thereto, and at the other side having buttons intended to replace the garment original ones. The device of the present invention may be used by any person, no matter their age, profession or any discipline they are skilled in, since it would be functional for uniforms and other several pieces of clothes having buttons, also enabling an easy and quick use thereof. REALIZACION PREFERENTE DE LA INVENCION
The following is a description of a preferred embodiment of the invention based on the attached figures.
FIG. 1 shows a two-sided strip (3), one side having buttons (2) and the other buttonholes (1 )- FIG.2 shows a shirt having buttons (5) that will be covered by the buttonholes (1 ) in the strip (3), with the buttons (2) of the strip (3) being visible so as to button the shirt through the buttonholes (4) of the shirt.
