Abstract:

The present invention provides a button-type secondary battery comprising a can assembly that accommodates an electrode assembly and an electrolyte. The can assembly includes: a lower can which accommodates the electrode assembly and the electrolyte and serves as a first electrode terminal; an upper can which is coupled to the lower can so as to surround the same and serves as a second electrode terminal; and a gasket which is provided between the lower can and the upper can and forms a seal between the lower can and the upper can. A first leakage detection member for detecting whether or not the electrolyte is leaking is provided on the outer surface of the lower can with which the gasket is in close contact. The first leakage detection member is provided with a recessed lower coupling groove formed on the outer surface of the lower can.
