Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to determine, with a simple configuration, if the direction of a cable connection is reversed. This cable is connected and used between a transmission device and a reception device, and transmits data in one direction. A connection direction determination unit determines whether the direction of connection is reversed on the basis of a voltage monitoring result at a prescribed position of a power supply line. When it is determined that the connection direction is reversed, an information transmission unit transmits, to the transmission device and reception device, information indicating that the connection direction is reversed.
