Abstract:

The present invention provides a cable-type secondary battery which comprises: an electrode assembly including a first polarity electrode, a second polarity electrode, a separation membrane or an electrolyte layer, wherein the first and second polarity electrodes both have a thin and elongated shape and have an electrode active material which is coated on the surface of a current collector having a circular, oval, or polygonal-shaped end that is orthogonal in the longitudinal direction, and the separation membrane or the electrolyte layer is interposed between the first and second polarity electrodes; a cover member for surrounding the electrode assembly; and a housing cap for fixing a first and second polarity terminal and surrounding an end of the cable-type secondary battery, wherein the first polarity terminal is connected to the first polarity electrode and the second polarity terminal is connected to the second polarity electrode, and are disposed at the end of the cable-type secondary battery.
