Abstract:

The present invention provides a cable-type secondary battery comprising: an internal electrode support body; and a sheet-type internal electrode-separation layer-external electrode composite formed in a spiraling manner around the external surface of the internal electrode support body, wherein the internal electrode-separation layer-external electrode composite is formed so that the internal electrode, the separation layer preventing a short circuit of the electrodes, and the external electrode are integrally compressed. According to the present invention, by coupling the electrodes and the separation layer so as to be integrally formed, the separation layer comes into close contact with the electrodes and absorbs an electrolyte solution to induce uniform supply of the electrolyte solution to an active material layer in the external electrode, thereby improving stability and performance of the cable-type secondary battery, the resistance of the cable-type secondary battery is reduced by excluding a wire-type current collector having a high resistance and by having sheet-type electrodes, thereby contributing to enhanced performance of the battery, and a linear shape is maintained and stress from external force is mitigated by comprising the internal support body having an open structure and the sheet-type electrode-separation composite that is spirally wound so as to have a spring structure.
