Title:
CAGE FOR ROLLER BEARING, ROLLER BEARING AND CAGE MACHINING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/132964
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In order to continuously punch out pockets in a cage workpiece, it is necessary to intermittently drive the workpiece via a holding jig. But when union by pressing the holding jig against the end face of the workpiece is attempted, the workpiece is scratched, after-processing to remove the scratch becomes necessary, and the problem of increased manufacturing cost occurs. The present invention addresses the problem of providing a cage for which such after-processing is unnecessary. A cage for a roller bearing in which pockets (6) are formed at regular intervals in the circumferential direction of a workpiece by punching, the workpiece being obtained from a body (2) and inward-facing rims (4) that are formed at both ends thereof and the pockets stretching between shoulder sections (5), which are formed at both ends of the body (2). The cage has a configuration wherein the outer surface of the rims (4) or the shoulder sections (5) is maintained in the un-machined state of the original workpiece.
