Abstract:
A calculation device according to an embodiment of the present invention sets setting values to two of a light guide distance of a light guide body, an input light amount with respect to a light incident surface, an output light amount on a light-emitting surface, applies the set setting values to a calculation formula representing a balance of the light amount of light guided in the light guide body by a unit distance, thereby calculating a value of the remaining one of the light guide distance, the input light amount, and the output light amount. By using a minimum phenomenological model considering an absorption loss by the most dominant light guide body among losses of luminous fluxes guided in the light guide body from the light incident surface to the light-emitting surface, the light guide distance of the light guide body, the input luminous flux with respect to the light incident surface, and a theoretical limitation of even brightness on the light-emitting surface can be obtained.
