Abstract:
A calculation method according to the present invention is used in a bearing device having: a rotating member; a bearing which rotatably supports the rotating member; a housing which retains the bearing; and sensors which are provided to a non-rotating section of the housing or bearing and which measure the distance to a surface which rotates together with the rotating member, wherein the amount of change in the diameter of the rotating member is calculated on the basis of measurement results by the sensors provided to three or more locations on a surface orthogonal to the axis of rotation of the rotating member.
