Abstract:
A cam follower device, comprising a radial needle bearing (7c) having a retainer (10b). Column parts (12) and (12) forming the retainer (10b) are disposed on the radial inner side of the pitch circle of needles (8) and (8). The needles (8) and (8) adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction are moved close to each other so that the number of the needles (8) and (8) can be secured. As a result, a large bending stress does not act on a tappet roller (6) even if the wall thickness of the tappet roller (6) is not increased.
