Abstract:
The present disclosure provides an image calibration method with which it is easy to calibrate a camera having a high angle of view for capturing images through a windshield. A calibration image is acquired by using the camera to image, through the windshield, a calibration object having a linear portion that extends in one direction intersecting an optical axis of the camera (step S1). A linear portion image corresponding to the linear portion is extracted from the calibration image (step S2). Distortion of the calibration image is corrected on the basis of the linear portion image and a virtual linear portion image assumed if the linear portion image were imaged by the camera, not through the windshield (step S3).
