Title:
CAMERA DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/120045
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A camera device capable of maintaining object image luminance at an appropriate level even if the amount of light from the object varies. The camera device has optical image formation means (11) for forming an optical image, conversion means (12) for converting the optical image into an RGB video signal, continuous light amount variation means (13) for continuously varying the amount of light entering in the conversion means (12), stepwise light amount variation means (14) for varying stepwise the amount of light, gain adjustment means (15) for adjusting the gain of the RGB video signal, and luminance control means (16) for controlling video luminance. The luminance control means (16) has a continuous luminance control section for controlling the continuous light amount variation means (13) when video luminance is determined not to be in target luminance, a control amount determination section for determining whether or not the amount of control by the continuous light amount variation means (13) is in a preset specified range, and a stepwise luminance control section for controlling the stepwise light amount variation means (14) when the amount of control is determined not to be in the preset specified range.
