Abstract:
A camera module and a method for assembling same are disclosed. A camera module according to the present invention is a folded zoom camera module having a sensor (imaging element such as CCD or CMOS) and lenses arranged transversely, unlike the existing scheme in which same are stacked longitudinally. The camera module comprises: a housing having a containing space formed therein and configured such that one side portion thereof in an optical axis direction, the opposite portion thereof, the other side portion thereof, and the lower surface portion thereof are open; at least one driving unit installed to cover the lower surface portion of the housing, the driving unit comprising a substrate having multiple (two or more) coils mounted on a surface facing the containing space; a fixed optical unit coaxially coupled to one side surface portion of the housing; and at least one movable optical unit arranged in the containing space of the housing behind the fixed optical unit, with reference to a direction of movement of light, so as to be able to move in the axial direction, the movable optical unit having a magnet coupled to a surface thereof, which faces the substrate, so as to correspond to the coils. A mounting frame is formed inside the other side surface portion of the housing such that an image sensor module is mounted. Each of the fixed optical unit and the movable optical unit has at least one alignment hole formed therein for optical axis-direction alignment inside the housing. The mounting frame has at least one alignment groove formed on a surface thereof so as to correspond to the alignment hole.
