Abstract:
The present invention relates to a camera module for an automobile and an assembly method therefor, the camera module comprising: a lens module on which a lens is mounted; a circuit board including an image sensor that converts an image received through the lens, into an electrical signal; a front body having the lens module assembled to the front thereof and the circuit board assembled from the rear to the inside, and manufactured by a metal injection molding method; a rear body assembled at the rear of the front body and manufactured by a metal injection molding method; a side welding portion protruding from the side of the front body to be coupled to the rear body by laser welding; and a flange portion which extends to the front of the rear body so that a front end portion thereof contacts the side welding portion, and which, by laser-welding of the contacted portion, couples the front body to the rear body.
