In order to complete an optical axis angle adjustment for a camera during a process of producing a camera unit in which the camera is mounted on a camera installation base, and thus reduce installation work when installing the camera unit on an external device, this camera production jig is used to produce a camera unit that includes: a work camera; a camera installation base whereon the work camera is installed and that has an outer surface that serves as a reference when the camera unit is installed on an external device; and an adjustment mechanism capable of adjusting the optical axis angle of the work camera with respect to the outer surface of the camera installation base. The camera production jig is provided with: a mount section whereon a camera unit in which a work camera, a camera installation base, and an adjustment mechanism are temporarily assembled is mounted, with the outer surface of the camera installation base being in contact with the surface of the mount section; a calibration plate to which the optical axis of the work camera in the camera unit mounted on the mount section is oriented; and a plate support that supports the calibration plate so that the angle of the calibration plate relative to the surface of the mount section makes a given angle that corresponds to a desired direction in which the optical axis of the work camera is to be oriented relative to the installation surface of the external device.
