Description:
DESCRIPTION

CAMERA SPECULUM WITH A CATHETER HAVING A CERVICAL CAMERA AND A FLEXIBLE TIP THAT CAN ENTER INTO CERVIX UTERI IN COWS

Technical field of the invention:

The invention relates to a speculum with a flexible tip catheter having a cervical camera, which ensures the injection of semen at the right point without damaging the gynaecological anatomical structure, minimizing the errors of the practitioner, for use in artificial insemination in cows.

State of the Art:

Artificial insemination in cows is the process of transferring semen to female cows in heat with the help of appropriate tools.

Currently, performing rectal palpation is required during artificial insemination in cows. This procedure is applied by entering through the rectum with one arm and catching the cervix by holding the uterus and trying, with the other hand, to find the cervix entrance by means of the pistol directed through the vagina. This is a long process and the inexperience of the practitioner and the mobility of the animal can cause deterioration of the anatomy and structure of the rectum. In addition, bleeding may occur in the rectum due to this application.

On the other hand, if the animal is pregnant, an incorrect application may cause the termination of pregnancy by damaging the plug formed in the cervix uteri.

As a result, performing the application by hand based on the skill and experience of the practitioner and without an image poses many risks in terms of the health of the animal and the efficiency of the application.

The catheter used in said application may cause a decrease in motility by affecting the heat exchange of the semen, and this reduces the conception possibility of the animal. In addition, the pistole cover used to inject the semen cannot be kept in sufficient sterile conditions, and this poses a risk to the health of the animal.

Another artificial insemination method is artificial insemination with the recto-vaginal method. In this method, the dissolved semen is placed in the pistole and the cervix uteri is caught by entering the rectum with one hand, while trying to find the entrance of the cervix uteri through manipulations made by inserting the pistole into the vagina at an appropriate angle with the other hand. Afterwards, the anatomical formations in the cervix uteri are tried to be passed and the semen is released into the female genital canal by determining the bifurcation uteri gropely.

Another artificial insemination method is recto-vaginal artificial insemination with a camera speculum. This method is applied in the same way as artificial insemination with the recto-vaginal method, with the difference that the presence of camera speculum makes it easier to find the entrance of the cervix uteri.

Currently, there are various structures developed for artificial insemination. One of them is the invention no CN106725994B on "Portable visible intrauterine semen deposition device for dog". In the present invention, an insertion tube that can be guided directly by a video image is mentioned. However, in this structure, imaging is done by using only a catheter camera. On the other hand, due to the differences in the anatomical structures of animals, the invention is a structure that can only be used in dogs.

Another invention is CA3084108A1 "Device for artificial insemination, gynaecological examination of the vagina and the cervix and to assist with uterine treatments and sample collection in livestock". There is no speculum and catheter camera in said invention.

Another invention is the invention no RU2737486C1 "Artificial insemination apparatus". In said invention, there is only one camera to find the cervix entrance, and there is no camera in the catheter. On the other hand, in the invention, there is no flexible tip as well. In the invention no CN105816257A "Electronic visual artificial insemination device for animals", a structure comprising a display screen, a display screen light source, a brightness adjustment switch, an insertion expansion tube, a camera, an insemination channel and an insemination needle is mentioned. However, there is only one camera structure in said structure.

Brief description and aims of the invention:

The invention relates to a catheter that ensures the injection of semen at the right point by minimizing the errors of the practitioner, without damaging the gynaecological anatomical structure, having both a catheter camera, a cervical camera in the speculum, and a flexible tip, for use in artificial insemination in cows.

The aim of the invention is, by means of its two camera structure, to;

- ensure that the entrance of the cervix uteri is found and all the anatomical structure in the cervix uteri is passed without any harm to the animal,

- provide the injection of sperm to the right point,

- ensure the detection of gynaecological anomalies,

- identify the character of cervical and vaginal mucus,

- detect endometritis and metritis,

- prevent lesions caused by the pistole,

- detect vaginal and cervical bleeding and prevent the risk of lesion and bleeding,

- eliminate the risk of unwanted abortion by detecting the cervix plug and preventing the insemination during pregnancy,

- provide intrauterine drug administration, and

- provide gynaecological image, temperature measurement, temperature and pH measurement before insemination by means of the speculum camera and the probes on the speculum.

Another aim of the invention is to provide artificial insemination without the need for rectal palpation, and to eliminate the risk of disruption of the anatomy and structure of the animal and bleeding in the rectum resulting from rectal palpation. In addition, in cases where rectal palpation is mandatory, the aim is to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders of the animal by minimizing the palpation time.

Another aim of the invention is to increase herd continuity by optimizing all stages of reproduction, and increasing the success of the practitioner and the pregnancy rate.

Another aim of the invention is to display, store and share all the data obtained from smart devices by means of the artificial intelligence applications with which it can work integrated. At the same time, the accuracy of insemination can be determined by means of the artificial intelligence.

Description of the invention:

The speculum (1 ) that is the subject of the invention comprises, in its structure, a speculum tip (1.9) having an angled structure; a speculum camera (1.1 ) with high resolution and wide angle, measuring the colour and character of vaginal cervical discharge (mucus) inside the vagina and transferring images with correct clarity and assists in fixing the cervix entrance protruding ventrally of the vagina by placing the angled tip of the speculum (1 ) into the fornix vagina; and catheter (1.2) that has a flexible tip (1 .2.1 ) and a catheter camera (1 .2.2) that facilitates its entry into the cervix uteri from the orificium cervical externa with the help of the guidance of the speculum camera (1.1 ), provides the detection of the cervix plug formed in the cervix during pregnancy, and evaluation of the endometrium and corpus uterine passing the cervix and injecting the semen into the bifurcation uteri or the right cornu.

Along with the speculum camera (1.1 ) and the catheter (1.2), the speculum (1 ) structure comprises measuring probes (1.3) made of metal, providing pH and heat measurements; speculum holder handle (1 .4) that enables the speculum (1 ) to be held; speculum fastener (1 .5) that provides the connection of the speculum holder handle

(1.4) and the speculum tip (1.9); power and electronics module (1.6) made of waterproof composite material that can be attached and removed inside the speculum holder handle (1.4); and the ejector trigger (1.7) and the ejector piston (1.8) that enables the semen to be transferred from the speculum (1 ).

Along with the catheter tip (1.2.1 ) and the catheter camera (1.2.2), in the structure of the catheter (1.2) are sperm channel (1.2.3) in which the semen is located; led light

(1.1.4) and lens (1 .2.5), which ensure that the catheter camera (1 .2.2) obtains a clear image; camera guiding apparatus (1.2.6) which allows the position and angle of the catheter camera (1 .2.2) to be adjusted by the user; progress distance meter (1 .2.7) in which the progress of the catheter (1.2) in the speculum (1 ) is observed and the catheter camera electronic module (1 .2.8).

As mentioned above, the speculum (1) that is the subject of the invention has two camera structures, one of which is the speculum camera (1 .1 ) on its own structure and the other is the catheter camera (1 .2.2) on the catheter (1 .2).

The speculum camera (1.1 ) provides the observation of the inside of the vagina, the measurement of colour (hyperaemia etc.) and the character of the vaginal cervical discharge (mucus) by means of its high resolution and wide angle. By the help of the speculum camera (1.1 ), the measurements made can be transferred to the practitioner and to artificial intelligence with the correct clarity, and thus the measurements can be evaluated correctly. This situation strengthens the insemination success in combination with other values such as temperature, pH, conductivity, etc.

The speculum (1 ) has an angled tip. The speculum camera (1.1 ) guides the fixation of the cervix entrance protruding ventrally by placing the tip of the speculum (1 ) in this angled structure into the fornix vagina.

The speculum camera (1.1 ) also enables the evaluation of the shape of the external cervical structure and the character of possible cervical mucus discharge by transmitting images with correct clarity.

The catheter camera (1 .2.2) facilitates the entry of the catheter (1 .2) from the orificium cervical externa into the cervix uteri with the guidance of the speculum camera (1.1 ).

The catheter camera (1 .2.2) also enables the detection of the cervix plug formed in the cervix during pregnancy, and by this way, pregnancy control can be done, as well as preventing possible insemination during pregnancy, unwanted abortion (miscarriage) is prevented.

The catheter camera (1 .2.2) provides the injection of semen into the bifurcation uteri or right cornu by passing the cervix. The catheter camera (1.2.2) also provides evaluation of the endometrium and corpus uterine.
