Abstract:
Provided is a can body for accommodating a carbonated beverage or other such contents, wherein it is possible to suppress unexpected openings from forming while enhancing the bursting strength. This can body is characterized in that, in the formula below, L = D·cos(θ1 ‒ θ2), A = X·(L + Y1 ‒ Y2)/Y1, and B = L + Y2 ‒ Y1 under the condition that E < Z, and when 0 < L < Y2, (A + B)·E/Z < 1.88. In the equation: D indicates the distance from the distal end of a tab 21 to the surface of a can lid 2; E indicates the distance from the point of intersection e between the surface of the can lid 2 and a vertical line drawn downward from the distal end of the tab 21, to the apex g of a seaming panel of the can lid 2; θ1 indicates the angle between the vertical line and a straight line that connects the point of intersection e and the apex g of the seaming panel; Z indicates the distance from a ground portion a of a leg part 31 to the lower end b of a can barrel 4 that is continuous with the outside of the leg part 31; θ2 indicates the angle between the vertical line and a straight line that connects the ground portion a and the lower end of the can barrel 4; Y1 indicates the distance from the bottom part d of a recessed portion 32 to the lower end c of a recessed portion 31; Y2 indicates the distance from the bottom part d to the ground portion a; and X indicates the distance between the bottom part d and a vertical line that passes through the lower end c of the recessed portion 32.
