A canning structural body capable of preventing a ceramic honeycomb structural body from being chipped or cracked in transport process, catalyst carrying process, canning process, and at the time of handling in each process without deteriorating the characteristics of the ceramic honeycomb structural body by fixing the ceramic honeycomb structural body (10) before carrying catalyst through a holding material (13) inside a metal case (11) beforehand.
