The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a cap unit that increases sterilization performance with respect to a sterilization target while maintaining water-retaining properties of a housing, and that is capable of irradiating a desired range with ultraviolet light; a storage tank; and a flowing water sterilization device.　This cap unit is characterized by comprising: a light source unit that is provided with a light emitting element and a substrate on which the light emitting element is mounted; a housing that is provided with an accommodation space for the light source unit, that has an opening at a prescribed position on a side facing a sterilization target, and that houses the light source unit such that the opening and the light emitting element face each other; an ultraviolet light transmitting window part that closes the opening; and a gasket that is positioned between the light source unit and the ultraviolet light transmitting window part and prevents ingress of the sterilization target into the light source unit side in the accommodation space, wherein the gasket is provided with a reflector wall part that is light-reflective and that is provided in such a manner as to be recessed toward the light source unit and to surround a lateral area of the light emitting element.
