Abstract:
A carbon dioxide electrolysis cell 1 of one embodiment is provided with: an anode unit 10 which comprises an anode 11 that generates oxygen by oxidizing water or hydroxide ions, and an anode solution flow path 12 that supplies an anode solution to the anode 11; a cathode unit 20 which comprises a cathode 23 that generates a carbon compound through chemical reduction of carbon dioxide, a cathode solution flow path 21 that supplies a cathode solution to the cathode 23, and a liquid passing member 22 that is disposed between the cathode 23 and the cathode solution flow path 21, and that has a cavity that enables the cathode solution to pass while retaining the same; and a separator 30 that separates the anode unit 10 from the cathode unit 20.
