Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a carbon fiber mat which, when made into a molded article, exhibits high mechanical characteristics and has excellent shape forming properties such as drawing. A carbon fiber mat in which discontinuous carbon fibers are dispersed as monofilaments, the orientation directions of the discontinuous carbon fibers are random, the number-average fiber length (Ln) in the carbon fiber mat is 1.5 mm to 15 mm, and the ratio (Pa) of the number of discontinuous carbon fibers in a range of ±20% of a central fiber length (Lc) is 40% to 99%.
