Abstract:
A carbon fiber-reinforced polypropylene sheet which contains carbon fibers having a mass average fiber length of 1.5-20 mm and a matrix resin that is composed of a polypropylene and an acid-modified polypropylene. The carbon fibers are dispersed in the form of single fibers, and the interfacial shear strength between the carbon fibers and the matrix resin is 5.50-10.5 MPa.
Provided is a carbon fiber-reinforced polypropylene sheet for obtaining a molded article that has excellent mechanical characteristics and excellent impact resistance. This carbon fiber-reinforced polypropylene sheet contains discontinuous carbon fibers and a polypropylene, is able to be molded into a complicated shape, and has isotropic mechanical characteristics.
