Abstract:
Provided is a technique for efficiently fixing carbon dioxide and obtaining carbonates of calcium and magnesium by utilizing high-purity, high-pressure carbon dioxide discharged from carbon dioxide cycle power generation. In the carbonate production plant 1, a raw material including calcium and magnesium capable of reacting with carbon dioxide is supplied from a raw material supply unit, and a carbon dioxide fluid extracted from a carbon dioxide cycle power generation plant 2 that generates power using the carbon dioxide cycle is supplied from a carbon dioxide supply unit. The carbonate production unit obtains a carbonate of calcium and/or magnesium from a product obtained by bringing these raw materials into contact with the carbon dioxide fluid.
