Abstract:
A medicine containing as the active ingredient a novel carboxylic acid derivative useful as an insulin resistance ameliorant. The carboxylic acid derivative is represented by the following general formula (I). Also provided are a salt or ester of the derivative and a hydrate of either. (I) In the formula, R1 represents carboxyl, alkyl, alkoxy, etc.&semi L and T each represents a single bond, alkylene, alkynylene, etc.&semi M represents alkylene, etc.&semi W represents carboxyl&semi X represents oxygen, −NRX1CQ1O−, −OCQ1NRX1−, −CQ1NRX1O− (wherein Q1 represents oxygen, etc. and RX1 represents hydrogen, alkyl, etc.), etc.&semi and Y and Z each represents an optionally substituted 5− to 14−membered aromatic group, etc.
