Abstract:
[Problem] To capture and process magnetic information recorded in a magnetic card or magnetic information transmitted from a terminal through a wireless electric wave. [Solution] This card processing apparatus is provided with: an opening that serves as a magnetic card insertion/ejection port; a magnetic stripe detection unit that is arranged near the opening so as to detect a change in an electromagnetic field and to output a signal; a magnetic information reading unit that reads magnetic information; a card conveyance unit that is arranged along a conveyance path connected to the opening and that conveys a magnetic card inserted through the opening; a shutter driving unit that drives a shutter for opening/closing the conveyance path connected to the opening. The magnetic stripe detection unit is provided with a magnetic information processing unit that detects a signal through a magnetic stripe recorded in the magnetic card inserted through the opening, or detects a signal through a wireless electric wave transmitted from the terminal arranged near the opening to read the magnetic information transmitted through the wireless electric wave.
