Abstract:
Provided are a cargo compartment monitoring device and a cargo compartment monitoring method wherein cargo information that includes at least information indicating the position of cargo loaded in a cargo compartment of a vehicle is acquired via an acquisition unit, and when a user has newly boarded the vehicle, cargo information for cargo that has been newly loaded in the vehicle is associated with the user and recorded. It is determined whether or not the cargo information has been updated. It is determined whether or not the vehicle has arrived at the user's destination. When it has been determined that the cargo information has not been updated and that the vehicle has arrived at the destination, a first alert is provided via a notification unit.
