Description:
Carrier device for forwarding goods

The invention relates to a carrier device for forwarding goods, especially those forwarded by postal delivery e.g. letters, which includes a base block- provided with a storage hollow delimited by a front panel and a rear panel; an opening leading into the storage hole, and a cover element suitable to close the opening: being the outer side of either the front panel or the rear panel provided with an address carrier surface serving for displaying the address of delivery.

During the past development of mankind, a number of solutions were elaborated for the purpose of forwarding various personal news and an other kinds of information. One of the oldest means for forwarding information is the post. The essence υf this service is that written mateπal placed in a carrier device, usually packaged in a closed envelope, will be delivered to the addressee. For some information relating to envelopes, see also LAROUSSR Encyclopedia, page 358.

Λ number of versions of various envelopes has already became known. There are envelopes of various size and shape, or even those serving for preventing their content from being damaged.

However, the insufficiency of these envelopes is that, beyond the data relating to the addressee and the sender, they essentially fail to contain other information considered to be of public interest.

There arc also carrier devices made of paper that arc provided with picture information at their inner surfaces that will become visible with the device folded out. Such solution is described in the patent publication HH T 58.632

However, its insufficiency is. thai the information of public interest becomes available only after performing various operations which, in turn, makes its use difficult and inconvenient and. in addition, the desired objective is not even obtained in a simple wa\ .

The invention is aimed at widening the field of services offered by the known devices carrying parcels forwarded by post and at developing a version which provides the possibility of expanding the services given by the envelopes to a significant extent, thus, increasing their value in use.

The development of embodiment according to the invention is based on the recognition that, by providing the external surfaces of carrier devices left unused so far with markings of information value - e.g. advertisements - and other picture and text date, the task can be solved.

According to the objective set, the carrier device according to the invention for forwarding goods, especially those forwarded by postal delivery e.g. letters, which includes a base block provided with a storage hollow delimited by a front panel and a rear panel: an opening leading into the storage hole, and a cover element suitable to close the opening: being the outer side of either the front panel or the rear panel provided with an address carrier surface serving for displaying the address of delivery', is designed in a manner that the base block has a priman, information mediatory surface at its side opposite to the address carrier surface, being said primary information mediatory surface provided directly - e.g. by means of printing - and/or indirectly - e.g. by means of a carrier element - with picture and/or text information.

Λ further criterion of the carrier device according to the invention may be that a secondary information mediatory surface is formed on the inner surface of the storage hollow in the base block at the side opposite to the opening.

In respect of the embodiment, it is advantageous that the outer surtace of the cover element is designed as part of the primary iniormation ediatorv surface.

It is also advantageous that photos and or paintings and or other picture information are printed on the primary iniormation mediatory surface

The carrier device according to the invention has a number of advantageous features. The most important feature is that its outer surface is suitable to hold information of publicity value or other information of public interest that may also increase the aesthetic value as the case may be, which may set up a claim for wide field of utilization.

It can also be considered to be an advantage that, as a result of using envelopes of significantly increased aesthetic appearance, the postal traffic may be increased: in fact, the envelopes can be used not only for their usual purpose but also for those collecting stamps and envelopes as well as for promotion purposes.

It is also advantageous that, due to the high quantity of the carrier devices, the widening of possibilities offered by its services provided involves only a minimum excess cost during the production: at the same time, its marketability is significantly increased as compared to the known versions.

It may be favourable that the information displayed - e.g. paintings, pictures of animals, portraits of famous persons - may represent a result worthy of attention even in respect of culture, education and information, while providing assistance to the public education and the propagation of the public culture.

In the following, the invention is described in detail, in connection with an embodiment, based on a drawing. In the drawing.

Fig. 1 shows an exemplary embodiment of the carrier device according to the invention

Fig. 2 shows another exemplary embodiment.

Fig. 1 shows an exemplary embodiment of the carrier device according to the invention. It can be shown that the 1 base block consists in a bag made of a l a front panel and the l b rear panel, that delimits the l c storage hollow.

The 1 c storage hollow is in connection with the environment through the Id opening which, in this particular embodiment, can be closed by folding back the l a cover element shaped as a thin band.

ln the embodiment according to Fig. 1 , the l a front panel of the 1 base block carries the 1 f address carrier surface that sen es for displaying the data of the addressee and the sender.

The part of the 1 b rear panel arranged at the side of 1 a front panel of 1 base block opposite to the 1 c storage hollow, that is not covered by the 1 e cover element, plays the part of the l g primary information mediatory surface. In this exemplary embodiment, the l g primary information mediatory surface holds a picture information, the picture of a dolphin in this particular case, printed on it.

Of course, the picture information may be the picture of any other animal, plant, portrait of a person or any other artistic object e.g. statue, reproduction of a painting; however, it may also be a picture or graphic representation of some object known or used in the everyday life. It is also obvious that the picture information can be completed with text, or even, text-only information can also be placed on the l g primary information mediatory surface.

Fig. 2 shows a carrier deλ'ice somewhat different from the previous one. Its essence is. that the triangular l e cover clement folded back to the l b rear panel of the 1 base block and covers the I d opening, also forms part of the l g primary information mediator * surface; therefore, the information placed on it will partly appear on the 1 l e external surtace of the le cover clement.

Another difference compared with the version ol Fig. i is that the 1 h secondary information mediatory surface is arranged υn the 1 1 c inner side of 1 c storage hollow in the 1 base block opposed to the 1 d opening. I he 1 h

secondary information mediatory surface contains motives and text blocks similar to and associated with those appearing in the l g primary information mediatory surface; thus, with the le cover element opened and folded back to the l b rear panel, respectively, the information appearing on the carrier device can parti}' be changed.

The invention is well suitable to be used for packaging and forwarding any kind of consignments; in addition, it offers the possibility of popularization of any information displayed on the outer surface of the carrier element in a wide circle.
