Abstract:
A carrier tape management device (1) for managing information regarding a carrier tape in which components are packaged comprises: a tail end information database (21DB) in which tail end information indicating the state of the tail end of a carrier tape, which is wound on the winding core of a reel from the tail end side thereof, is registered for each tape type of the carrier tape; a first reading unit (31) that reads code information of the reel; a tail end determination unit (32) that acquires tail end information of a tape type matching information included in the code information from the tail end information database (21DB) to determine the state of the tail end of the carrier tape; and a material management database (23DB) in which the determination results are registered for each reel.
