Abstract:
An orthopaedic device (10) for repairing and regenerating cartilage includes a plug (26) configured to be positioned in a hole formed in the cartilage (16) and an anchor (12, 412, 512, 612, 712) configured to support the plug (26). One or both of the plug (26) and the anchor (12, 412, 512, 612, 712) may be formed from naturally occurring extracellular matrix such as small intestine submucosa. A method for repairing and regenerating cartilage is also disclosed.
