The purpose of the present invention is to improve cash management efficiency for a cash management system overall, to avoid operation interruptions arising from excess or insufficient cash in an automated machine, and to improve efficiency in operation. Provided is a cash management system, comprising: a plurality of automated transaction devices which store cash cartridges and which execute a cash transaction with a customer; an operation terminal, further comprising a display unit which displays volumes of cash which the automated transaction devices store; and a cash management server, further comprising a storage unit which stores a control state management table for managing a control state of each of the automated transaction devices and a management table for managing the volumes of cash which are stored in each of the automated transaction devices. On the basis of malfunction information which has been received from the automated transaction devices, the cash management server updates the automated transaction device which has transmitted the malfunction information which is stored in the control state management table to no transaction possible. On the basis of the volumes of cash of the other automated transaction devices which are stored in the management table, the cash management server determines the other automated transaction devices which are subject to supplementation or collection of the cash which the automated transaction devices store, and transmits same to the operation terminal.
