Abstract:
A casino system (30) at a casino (300) that uses gaming chips (72), to which RFID tags (721) storing identification information are given, comprises: an activation reader/writer (322) that is provided at the casino (300) and that reads out identification information from an RFID tag (721) of a gaming chip (72); and a registration device (325) that determines the authenticity of a gaming chip (72) and that registers, as a usable article, a gaming chip (72) which has been determined to be authentic. The registration device (325) determines the authenticity on the basis of whether or not identification information given from the manufacturer of a gaming chip (72) conforms to identification information read out by the activation reader/writer (322) from the RFID tag (721) of the gaming chip (72). The registration device (325) registers, as identification information of a usable gaming chip (72), identification information of a gaming chip (72) which has been determined to be authentic.
