Abstract:
A casting core (1) has a glass material aggregate (2) having silicon dioxide as the main component thereof, and an inorganic binder (3) containing sodium chloride for binding together the aggregate (2). The casting core (1) can be manufactured by preparing a kneaded matter (6) including a polar solvent (5), the glass aggregate (2) having silicon dioxide as the main component thereof, and the inorganic binder (3) containing sodium chloride, pouring the kneaded matter (5) into a mold, and drying and molding the kneaded matter (5) in the mold. Through this casting core, it is possible both to ensure strength during casting and to facilitate breakdown after casting.
