Abstract:
A riser according to the present invention is a casting riser coupled to a mold and comprises: a body having an inner space for receiving molten metal; and a runner communicating with the inner space and expending from the main body to form a molten metal movement path between the mold and the main body, wherein the body has a structure surrounding the periphery of the runner so that the riser can thermally protect the runner independently, and the body can prevent the runner from being cooled during casting even without any help from a separate heating member or a heat generating material.
