Abstract:
[Problem] To solve the problem that, conventionally, it has been difficult to achieve the maximum catalytic reaction with the minimum use of a catalyst material. [Solution] This catalyst body has formed therein a catalyst layer comprising a catalyst material and a carrier material, wherein the catalyst material is in a state of segregating on the surface of the catalyst layer. [Effect] In the catalyst layer, the catalyst material segregates on the surface that is in contact with a reactant, and as a result, no unnecessary catalyst material is present inside the catalyst layer, thereby enabling the effective and maximum use of the minimum catalyst material necessary.
