Abstract:
Disclosed is a catalyst carrier particle obtained by dispersing primary particles
of ceria in alumina. This catalyst carrier particle does not have a prominent
peak of alumina near 2θ = 67˚ in x-ray diffraction analysis. Also
disclosed are an exhaust gas purifying catalyst obtained by loading the carrier
particle with a noble metal, and methods for producing such a carrier particle
and exhaust gas purifying catalyst.
